Sometimes we find ourselves in a moment we did not choose, with an opportunity to protect something we cannot bear to lose. For everyone who holds Visitation dear, that moment is now.
For generations, the Sisters gave their lives to prayer, education, and caring for others. Now it is our turn to care for the place they entrusted to our memories—and to help preserve it for those who come after us.

Our Home. Our History. For All Time.

Sister Madeline Maria Dorsey, M.M., Visitation Academy Class of 1932, pictured with Sister Mary Antonia DeLucie, Sister Mary Vincent Morgan, Sister Aimee Franklin, Sister Mary Rita Hines, and Sister Bernadette Kivlin during her 1993 return to Visitation, when she was honored as a Distinguished Graduate. Affectionately known as “Sister Maddie,” she was a Maryknoll missionary, nurse, and hospital administrator who helped advance integrated healthcare in Kansas City, participated in the 1965 civil rights campaign in Selma, and served communities around the world. During her visit, she shared her remarkable life of service with a new generation of Visitation students.
